Disney's Mountain Lodge

Location: Beaver Creek, Colorado
Architect: Pierce, Segerberg & Associates, Vail, Colorado
Owner: Disney Development Company, Disney Vacation Clubs Division, Orlando, Florida
General Contractor: G.E. Johnson Construction Company, Colorado Springs, Colorado

This project, to be constructed in several phases, has multiple ownership entities involved in the different portions of the complex. The first phase consists of a two-story, 160,000 sf below-grade parking structure with heating and ventilation used for public parking as well as for the lodge guests.

The second phase consists of Disney's Vacation Club Lodge and the Market Square retail and condominium building. There are 115 time-share units in the Lodge including studio, one, two, and three-bedroom units arranged in two five-story wings joined in the center by a five-story atrium/lobby. The Lodge has a fitness center, a multipurpose room, a commercial laundry, commercial and retail space, administrative offices and a large common living room. This is the only part of the project owned and operated by Disney Vacation Clubs. The Market Square building will be built as a bridge over a road and will link the Lodge to the rest of the Beaver Creek Resort pedestrian access system. The first floor has multiple retail stores and there are four floors of two and three-bedroom condominium units above. The parking structure and the Market Square are to be owned and operated by East-West Partners from Beaver Creek.

The final phase will consists of a below grade 500-seat performing arts center theatre and year round indoor ice skating rink above the theatre. This project is the last remaining piece of development property in the master plan of the Beaver Creek Ski Resort base area complex.
